The PGA Championship will be held this week at the Oak Hill Country Club’s East Course. This will be the third time that Oak Hill’s has hosted the PGA Championship. Oak Hill is located in upstate New York. The PGA Championship will be this year’s final major for golf. 99 out of the world’s top 100 golfers will be in attendance. Tiger Woods has stated that he likes the Oak Hill’s golf course and the par-70 game layout. Woods tied for 39th when the PGA was last held at Oak Hill. Phil Mickelson commented that Oak Hill has one of the best golf courses that he has seen. He thinks that the course is in excellent shape and he likes the setup. Mickelson describes the golf course as fair but challenging. Mickelson predicts that golfers may face some difficulty on holes 17 and 18. Mickelson states, “17 and 18 are just an extreme test of ball-striking really, and nerve. They are two of the best par-fours you could have to close probably.” Adam Scott, a Masters champion, believes that the major threats at Oak Hill are the graduated rough and the green complexes, many of which have barely noticeable slopes. Scott advises that other golfers should be careful on the greens. The 95th PGA Championship will start on Thursday.Google+
