Riley Cooper, a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, has returned to training camp after being out for four days and him being captured on video using a racial slur. Cooper was teammates with Tim Tebow at Florida State where they won two BCS championships. Tebow has stated that he is praying for his friend and declined to discuss whether or not he was surprised by Cooperai??i??s comments. He mentioned that he would like to keep their friendship private.

It is believed that coaches consulted with the team regarding the incident and they determined that he is more important to the team and should be forgiven. The players on the team have to be able to get along with and play alongside Cooper going forward. The Eagles quarterback, Michael Vick, came out right after the video went public and put it behind him. Yet another teammate was not as forgiving.

Philadelphia is scheduled to play the New England Patriots on Sunday in the preseason. The team rooster shows Cooper as a starter against the Patriots on Sunday. The two teams have been practicing jointly in Philadelphia this week. Cooper has caught two touchdown passes in practice against the Patriotai??i??s defense.
